Four Reasons Why You Should Visit the Rochester Zoo This Summer

Rochester flea market

With so many things to see in Rochester, it can be hard to decide where to go. Many people like to go wherever they have Rochester coupons for. However, one place that you absolutely can’t miss out on is the Rochester zoo. If you feel like zoos just aren’t your thing, think again. Here are a few reasons why you should plan a trip to the Rochester zoo this summer!

1. It’s Fun and Educational.

There’s few things more fun than watching kids see wild, exotic animals for the first time. They’ll even get excited about animals that they actually have seen before. At the Rochester zoo, you and your children get to learn a lot about the animals, their natural habitats, and things that are going on with their native countries, in a fun environment.

2. You Support Environmentalism.

Learning about the animal’s natural habitats and their native counties can help children learn about environmentalism, and teach them about its importance. The Rochester zoo works hard to protect and breed endangered species and promote environmentally conscious practices. By supporting the Rochester zoo, you support all of the altruistic things that they stand for.

3. Great Way to Get Out

Who could forget that going to the Rochester zoo is a perfect way to get out of the house. If the kids are getting a little restless and cooped up all day during their spring break or summer vacation, taking them to the zoo can help satiate their appetite for activity.

4. The Zoo Brew.

One of the coolest things about the Rochester zoo is that every summer they feature an event called the “Zoo Brew.” They only admit persons 21 years and older into the zoo, because they bring in beer vendors who are stationed all around the park. It’s a great way for adults to get out, meet new people, see some cool sights, and have a generally good time. Be sure to get there early, as each event was packed last summer.

Why not have some Rochester fun at the zoo! If you have any questions about visiting, feel free to ask in the comments.
